White Oak Wind is one of Rachel Contractings 2010-2011 projects located outside of Bloomington Illinois. I was sent down here last September to help manage the renewable energy project with Invenergy and Mortenson Construction. Rachel Contracting has been involved with wind energy sence 2009 with their first project in Goodland Indiana. Between the two projects 153 turbines have been erected. The process of surveying, road construction, excavation, foundation construction, backfill, electrical, erection, commisioning and placing aggregate around the base is scheduled to be complete by the end of May 2011. Rachel Contracting has two other projects currently scheduled to be underway within the month of April, one of them is located closer to Chicago and the other in Iowa.
